Formed in 2011 by Brice Wassy and Jean-Jacques Elangué as a self-conscious effort to revive and reinvent traditionnal African music, Kelin-Kelin’ Orchestra is a dynamic Afrobeat and Afrojazz ensemble.
While committed to upholding tradition, drawing its influence from bikutsi, makossa, biguine and calypso, they’ve also extended themselves into the realms of funk and salsa. With a solid groove full of drums and an engaged horn section, KKO has forged a refined sound and invites us all to join in the fun of a festive show. Expect infectious and chattering rhythms, soulful vocals and inspired solos !
KKO’s live show is a high-energy spectacle featuring 10+ performers from Cameroon, Benin, Cuba, France and the U.S. .
